   1. This privacy policy (“Policy”) sets out when and why Goldbridge Education Ltd collect personal information about our tutors, students, and their parents and guardians. It also outlines how we use that information, how we protect it, and your rights in relation to it.

   2. We are committed to ensuring a strict policy of client and tutor confidentiality, and to protecting and safeguarding your personal data. As part of this commitment, we will ensure that this Policy aligns with the Data Protection Act 2018, and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

   3. This Policy relates to all personal data you provide to us, and all personal data that we hold arising out of your use of our website (“Site”).

   4. We use cookies on our website. Insofar as those cookies are not strictly necessary for the provision of our website and services, we will ask you to consent to our use of cookies when you first visit our Site. ​​

   1. In this Policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Goldbridge Education Ltd, a private tuition agency and education consultancy. We provide education consultancy, hourly tuition and mentoring services.

1. In order to provide tuition and education consultancy services, we may need to collect and process your personal data. This will be information that you have chosen to share with us via phone calls, email enquiries, online forms, messaging services, or social media. By sharing this personal data, you are giving us consent to process the data for the specific purpose of delivering our service.

2. By interacting with our website, you will also automatically be sharing data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns of usage. We collect this data by using cookies and other similar technologies. We may opt out of this by clicking the appropriate response when the pop up box appears.

Site user data

Geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, website navigation paths, and information about timing, frequency, and pattern of use. The data will be aggregated and anonymised in such a way that it contains no information pertaining to any identifiable individual. Therefore, it is not personal data. However, it is addressed here for the sake of completeness.

 4. What do we do with the information we collect?

We will use your personal data to fulfil tutoring requests, meet our contractual and legal obligations, record-keeping, process job applications, send marketing communications and deliver a high-quality service to clients and tutors.

5. Who can access your personal data?

1. If tuition services form part of your enquiry, your personal data may be passed on to one or more of our tutors with the specific purpose of enabling them to provide appropriate and effective tuition services.

2. By providing personal data, which may include sensitive information that is related to a request for tuition, you are giving us consent to share the information with one or more tutors.

3. We rely on third party organisations to provide applications/functionality, data processing, marketing or IT services to us. We only provide them with the information they need to fulfil the service, and we require that they do not use your personal data for any other purpose. We can also share personal data with third party organisations such as lawyers, accountants, and other professional advisers. These third parties are subject to at least an equivalent degree of confidentiality and data security as we maintain. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes, and only permit them to process personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

4. We always use best efforts to ensure that all third parties we work with will keep your personal data secure and comply with GDPR. All data collected is stored exclusively in secure hosting services.

5. We may disclose your data to third parties if we are under a duty to comply with a legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our term of service or other terms and conditions you have agreed to, or to protect the rights or safety of Goldbridge Education Ltd or the tutors we represent. 

6. We always use best efforts to ensure that all third parties we work with will keep your personal data secure and comply with GDPR. All data collected is stored exclusively in secure hosting services.

7. We may disclose your data in the event that we sell any or all of the business or assets. In such a scenario, your personal data will be processed by the buyer acting as the new data controller and its privacy policy will govern the processing of your personal data.

8. Should Goldbridge Education Ltd ever transfer personal data outside of the EEA, this will be done in a secure and lawful way. As some countries may not have laws governing the use and transfer of personal data, we will take steps to ensure that third parties adhere to the commitments set out in this Policy. These steps may include reviewing the third parties’ privacy and security standards, and entering into appropriate contracts

6. How long do we store your personal data for?

1. We will retain your data for the duration of your requested service(s), or to meet our commercial and legal obligations.

2. To determine the retention period of your personal data, we consider several criteria to ensure that we do not keep your personal data for longer than is appropriate. These criteria include:

   1. the purpose for which we hold your personal data;

   2. our legal and regulatory obligations in relation to that personal data, i.e. any financial reporting obligations; or

   3. whether our relationship with you is ongoing. For example:

      1. you may be working with one or more tutors;

      2. you may wish to continue to receive marketing communications related to events and updates;

      3. you regularly or occasionally contact us for consultancy, courses or other services,

   4. as clients frequently return to us for tuition services after a short break, in most cases we will keep their data securely on file until there is an express request from them that we delete their information; and

   5. in light of 6.2(d), any specific requests from you in relation to the deletion of your personal data.

7. Data Security

1. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or access in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and, as noted in section 6, are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

2. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulators of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

8. Cookies

1. A cookie is a piece of information that web servers send to your browser file when you access a website. When you come back to the website again, the website will detect whether you have cookies on the browser file.

2. We occasionally issue session cookies when strictly necessary for the operation of the Site (such as logging into our members account area). These cookies do not hold any personal information.

3. We use cookies to identify which pages on out Site are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our Site in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

4. Cookies help us provide our clients with a better service each time they visit our site. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from having the most tailored experience of the Site.

9. Email Tracking and Newsletters

1. Our newsletter employ tracking so that we can monitor at an individual level whether a recipient has opened the email and what contents they have clicked on. We only send our newsletter to recipients where there is a legitimate interest to do so and/or where you have agreed to receive our newsletter. This includes sending emails giving details of relevant events and courses, as well as updates to individuals who have subscribed via our website or who are registered clients.

2. Recipients may easily unsubscribe from the newsletter if they wish by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

1. At any point while we are in possession of or processing your data, you, and the data subject, have the following rights:

   1. Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.

   2. Right of rectification – you have the right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.

   3. Right to be forgotten - in certain circumstances, you can ask for the data that we hold about you to be erased from our records.

   4. Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.

3. Processing your request to view the data we process about you

Should you wish to exercise your right to access a copy of the information we have about you, we will fulfil this request by sending you the information electronically, unless your request expressly specifies a different method.
